To explain my interest, I'm running:
VHF DSC, AIS-B transponder, multiband VHF-UHF programmable radio, Plotter + spare handheld plotter + Android tablet with charts + Android phone with charts + laptop with OpenCPN, raymarine autohelm, raymarine rotovecta (turns my autohelm into windvane steering), onboard wifi network with 3G connectivity, Wifi pan-tilt-zoom masthead CCTV camera with boosted IR LEDs, 300w solar and 400ah of deep cycle goodness... and some other things I've forgotten.

This is on my 24 foot trailerable swing-keel - not on a 40ft blue water cruiser, so yes, I'm a bit of a technosailer.
