GPS with Bluetooth output

Is there such a thing as a GPS system/puck that can broadcast it's data via bluetooth to multiple laptops in order to avoid having GPS pucks hanging off each of the laptops ? Bonus points if there is also a nema wired output ....

We have a Hamlet that works great. It is the backup to our cp but we use it to update our open cpn on where we are. Try hamletcom dot com

Thanks Chuckr! I see one device, HBTGPSOL , with a large(ish) solar cell on the front - is that the device you have? There is no price listed - do you remember what you paid for yours ? Does it communicate to your open cpn computer via bluetooth ?

This page has some good choices.

Rechargable lithium and bluetooth.

I use an older model of this brand with Opencpn on my laptop.

Re: GPS with Bluetooth output

I have just realized that maybe I can use my Android phone's GPS and send that data out via bluetooth. I haven't figured out yet how to connect this to openCPN but am working on it !

Re: GPS with Bluetooth output

Could be possible with an app to help. Think I'll try that too.

Forget what we paid for it as we found it in Crotone Italy after looking for it everywhere. And yes it connects to our open cpn as we use the tablet as our back up. Oh and yes it is the one with the solar on the front.
good luck with it.
