GARMIN NMEA2K Transducer Adapter Kit

I have a 20 year old 200 kHz fix installed thru-hull depth transducer which is confirmed in good working order, but the Raymarine display failed. New electronics are all FURUNO with NMEA2K system, except depth sounding.
I bought a GARMIN NMEA2K Transducer Adapter Kit.
After installing the GARMIN kit, it was recognized by my FURUNO MFD-8 as "INTELLIDUCER". After selecting it as DATA SOURCE and having ticked the PGN 128267 to receive DEPTH, there is no depth reading on my displays. Putting an ear close to the transducer, no clicks or pulses are audible.
Can anybody please HELP !
