Garmin Depth Sounder
I'm trying to help a friend get a depth sounder working. He has an Airmar P319 transducer, a Garmin GSD22 and a Garmin GMI 10 but it won't work.

I'm thinking that it's because the GSD22 can only connect to a Garmin network, which he doesn't have. Is that right?

Is there anyway to get these components to work together without adding a bunch more equipment?

Any replies are appreciated but quick ones are best.
