Hey guys I would like to replace my outdated VHF radio
with a newer model, and at the same time equip my boat
with an AIS
transponder. I own a somewhat outdated Garmin GPS
map 4208 with radar
equipped. It does have ports
that make it NMEA
or whatever capable. I recently saw a Standard Horizon GX2150B VHF radio
transponder, and did some research
. I know its possible to wire it up to a standard horizon chart-plotter, but would it be possible to wire it to my Garmin
, calibrate it and have it function and display other boat
AIS signals properly on its display?
This guy is the best. His video is where I saw the standard horizon. He hooks it up and it works.
