Furuno 720; can it work? replace?

New to this form stuff. I tried to find a thread with this topic but no luck.

I bought a Crown 34 last year and finally intend to move it down the Oregon coast. I

t has a Furuno 720 radar in it. When I plug the power cord into the CRT readout, it starts up as it should. As soon as I plug in the antenna (there's probably a more accurate term for this), the screen goes blank.

Can this be fixed? Or should I just junk it?
