DSP noise canceling

I know this has sort of come up before, but never really went anywhere, but I’m getting a lot of heterodynes on Cruiseheimers freq.
8152, and am wondering if the clearmountain speaker would help
http://www.westmountainradio.com/pro...ts_id=CLR_spkr
Or is the processor better using the 802’s speaker
http://www.westmountainradio.com/pro...cts_id=clr_dsp
Or are they snake oil? I know it’s not magic, but I’m thinking that a heterodyne ought to be able to be eliminated or reduced anyway?

Re: DSP noise canceling

Doesn't the 802 have a notch filter? That should take out a single nearby frequency squeal.

I have no idea if it does, if it does then I don’t know how to turn it on.
There is a lot about this radio that I don’t know about
However anything that would attenuate some noise would be welcome.

Re: DSP noise canceling

I can't speak for the WestMountain product but I swear by BHI.
Started off with one of these https://www.bhi-ltd.com/noise-cancel...s10-2-mk3.html When I passed that on to a friend I replaced it with one of these https://www.bhi-ltd.com/noise-cancel...ers/dspkr.html

I also have one of these at the home QTH... https://www.bhi-ltd.com/noise-cancel...t-in-line.html that I use with a headset.

All do an excellent job with general noise.. not sure about birdies........

Birdies, never thought of that, but I guess it describes the noise pretty well
