Does the Zeus3s have an upper limit on AIS targets?

Hi - I have a new Zeus3s-based network that includes a new vhf, antenna, cable and em-trak B953 AIS. I've measured a 1.01 SWR on my antenna path so I think things are pretty great there. I've turned off all of the AIS filtering (except my own MMSI) options on the Zeus and it should be showing me all available targets. And yet, it it's consistently dropping anything more than about 2.5-3 miles away.

When I look at the AIS target list on openCPN connected to my boat network I see over 400 targets, including some AtoN's 80 miles away! So it seems the AIS is receiving nicely and the data is available, but the Zeus is steadfastly refusing to show the distant targets.

It would make sense to me that the Zeus might be prioritizing nearby targets and dropping the distant ones if there is an upper boundary on the total, but I haven't been able to find anything documented anywhere on this. I believe Raymarine has this behavior on at least some of their mfd's. Anyone know for sure about B&G?

Check the settings on the Zeus. Most plotters have settings for target hiding, so it might be set to hide targets more than a certain distance away or that are moving too slowly, etc.

Yeah, that was my first thought too so I made sure that all of those settings were disabled. Didn't fix it.
