Does a waterproof CAT5 socket exist that is waterproof when plugged in?

It's really frustrating, everything I'm seeing online is only waterproof with the cap on and I would like a permanent connection to my boat when I'm in my slip. I was out sailing in the Chesapeake today :-) so need to be able to unplug regularly. Has anyone else solved this problem?

I realise the connecting cable would need a modified connector/sleeve or similar. I'm just not seeing any. I'm mining heavily and the extra speed over my current wifi connection would be good.

Thanks,

Paul.

Are you looking for bulkhead mount or inline? Digikey.com will have what you're looking for in either.

Something like this...

With this...

There are also the caps for both the plug and jack. There are many more choices on there besides these.

Series data sheet...

We often use a similar system installed in the very common but not often used Telephone/Cable TV connection next to the power inlet on many boats. Drill out the telephone section, install a good ethernet jack as above; well done with black rtv it can appear like a factory job

No problem! They have a bunch on there, so they may have something else that works better. I was searching from my phone so posted the first one I found. Also, I'd you go with that one don't forget the gasket, I think it's separate.
