I've been working on programming my own
NMEA 2000 network interface and setting up a Raspberry Pi on-board and using data recorders like the Voyage Recorder by Yacht Devices (no association) to collect and
record (and transmit) a variety of data autonomously including
GPS,
AIS, barometric press, temperatures (engine,
water, fridge,
interior and exterior) etc etc with local processing and analytics but I would really like a way to digitally measure and
record boat movement - roll,
pitch and yaw. Any ideas? Tips or suggestions or experiences appreciated. I'm not familiar with this sort of thing in the
marine industry context so maybe you guys are more fmiliar with what's out there in the
marine market
EDIT: I'm looking at this multisensor board which has a built-in 3-axis gyro. magnetometer and accelerometer plus power converter
