Datamarine Wind Gauge Help Install

Hello - We have the Datamarine 5000 Link on our sailboat and we now have other newer instruments to replace it all but the wind component. So, we are keeping the Datamrine Link 5000 just to use for the wind. I bought a used wind gauge, Datamarine link CF01050 to replace the cluster of three instrument panel we have. I can't find any information out there on how to connect it to the Link 5000 though. It has a different connect then my current instrument panel. My questions:

Can I connect the current datamarine network cable (that was going the cluster panel) we have to the wind gauge and if so, do you know what type of connector I need?

The current connector on the network cable is for a quick release kind of thing, a BNC. So I will need to replace it or find a connector piece to transition from the wind gauge female end to the quick release BNC cable connection. But I don't know what kind of connector to get.

Thank you for any information - photos attached.

Re: Datamarine Wind Gauge Help Install

Hello - I have been told by the only person I know of who still services Datamarine that the newer versons (coaxial connector) are NOT compatible with the BNC connectors. His website is DMI Marine, Inc.

Do you still have the old instrument cluster? I have the old BNC style and might be interested in it if you are going to sell it.

Thanks,

Steve
