Re: CPA and TCPA of RADAR targets not equipped with AIS

The Furuno radars are excellent. Nobodies getting hung up MARPA or ARPA but there are differences and the terms are not interchangeable.

None of the radars that are integrated into plotters, that I have seen, have come close in performance to stand alone products, either in performance or ergonomics. I have seen "Super HD digital" branded radars with a 48" scanner give a worse pic than a 24" 'proper' radar - all things are not created equal.
