Just to add to the
advice, most BIOS's will reset to defaults for the most part which is most likely exactly the same state when the computer was configured. Even if this is not the case, the computer is obviously going to continue to
work after
battery replacement because it's working now with a dead battery! Check the
battery before replacement as it may be a case of
electrolysis having damaged the printed circuit adjacent to the cell.
Is a good idea to set up the time sync from a
GPS though if no regular
internet connection is used.
