cmap usb reader problem

dear every body ...
i am new in this fourms and i wish to be a good friend to every body here ....
my problem :
i have cmap multimedia reader 2 the orange box and i hve my cmap nt+ cartiges .
i am using maxsea 12.1.1 and i can not make my maxsea see the usb reader or the charts .
can any body help me .

I'm not familiar with your exact program but you didn't mention if the computer/operating system detected your USB drive when you put it it. If the computer/operating system doesn't recognize it, that's your first problem I would think. If it's a standard USB thumb drive the PC should just detect it as another drive. If it's not a standard USB drive then you might need to load a driver for it.

I have seen the same thing happen on a Garmin reader. We fooled around with it on one laptop and then another. It seemed to have a hard time recognizing the reader. This one had been used a bit and the USB connections must have been dirty. We tried it on a newer laptop and it worked fine. May have been the USB power available. Are you using a port extender, some don't transfer the 5 volts.

You will first have to run the pc planner software that should have come with the orange box. Suggest you start your search here:

thanks every body for your replay
ok : i have the pc planer and when i run it every thing is ok and i can open mt nt+ charts on it
put my problem how i can open this charts on maxsea 12.1.1
do i need any drivers ?
