Cloning M710 "Cloning error"

When I try to clone my m710 I am getting "cloning error" message. I am using DOSbox on a Windows 10 and an older Windows 98 machine, I have set the COM port to '1' and the baud rate to 4800. I have set the radio parameters REMT-ID to '1' and REMT-IF to 'pin'. I am using a USB clone cable with a mono jack. Still getting nowhere. Have I missed something?
