I installed a Brookhouse IMUX-ST a number of years back when they were the hot item. It did a great job tying my
NMEA 0183 and C talk together, as well as sending it to my
iPad so that I could display
AIS on my charting
software.
Life circumstances changed and we had to go build up the cruising kitty again, and the
boat was
on the hard for six years with the system powered down. I’m back in the
water now. The system still appears to
work, since I see the Brookhouse signal available to log into; however the original password (Brookhouse plus
serial number) no longer seems to
work. Is it possible there is an internal
battery that maintained the system’s memory, and it has
lost its password? Is it possible to reset the password? Googling for Brookhouse, it would seem the company is out of business and there is no tech-support anywhere. I would sure like to continue to display
AIS on my
iPad. Thoughts?
