beacon with BT to protect theft of dinghy
has anyone played with a beacon device mounted/hidden in the dinghy which triggers off an alarm when not close to the e.g. handphone any more.

have seen several theft-protection gadgets but wonder if something like this could be used to prevent the dinghy getting lost without noticing.

has anyone got experience? - comments? - suggestions?
