B&G Zeus 3 Wifi and Iridium GO for Predictwind?

I had considered the wifi extender, onboard network as a solution with devices visible and files shareable.
I will have to give that some effort to see if it is a good solution.

The extender, by Netgear, has been terrific in allowing me to 'catch' beach front bar free wifi while at anchor.

I view my Predictwind data on my iPad some of the time and the computer most of the time. I have never had the desire to port it over to the MFD.

I second this approach exactly for the reasons posted. We run IG/PW on the laptop at the nav station alongside the Zeus2 MFD GoFree WiFi on the ipad, Bob is our uncle.

Depending on file size ( area selected and info requested), IG download can take 20-40 min.

What I have done is saved the file to my laptop then copied the file to a micro SD card that I then insert in the B&G Z3 this intern giving me the PW overlay on the chart plotter.
