B&G Wind vane with Raymarine i70s

I would love your feedback about mixing a B&G wind van and an I70s by Raymarine.
I could not find any wind van with cable by Raymarine N2K.
What do you think about mixing different electronics brands using the N2k network?

Thank you all for your support
Phil

fine for the most part, but calibration may be an issue. For example raymarine windvane requires raymarine instrument for calibration.

Thanks George,
Ok so generally speaking could work but its more complex to setup yhe system. I really don't understand why Raymarine doesn't produce wind van N2k so force customer to buy the adapter.

Personally I don’t like nmea 2K running up the mast.

Using the wife as a wind indicator has a downside. Most will complain if it gets rough. Also hoisting her to the top of the mast will put too much weight aloft.

I have the B&G wireless wind instrument connected to a Vulcan that shares the wind data with a Ray AP.

This seems to be a great option all B&g stuff except the AP by Raymarine.
Is this setup works great? And downside?
Which AP do yoi have?

Thanks so much
Phil

I have a wheel pilot.

Best yet you can get the setup with rest of the boat when you buy it! www.USCGMaster.com/cyn

I don’t rate the Ray wheel pilot. Removed mine and replaced it with a ev1 and Linear arm drive. Way way better.

What linear drive is compatible with the acu100?

The raymarine AC 100 and 150 have no clutch drive ability so are unsuitable for linear drives
