After some time using my system, I think it's time for an update that can help some sailors:
1. The system is a Zeus 3 and a Triton2 with
B&G wind,
depth and speed sensors, all in a
Nmea 2000 network. Also, a
Raymarine EV-100
wheel drive with a P70 controller and a EV-1
Sensor Core that are connected to the
Nmea 2000 network via a Nmea2000-Seatalkng connector.
2. The system integrates very well. Of course you can't control the auto-pilot with the Zeus3, but the
B&G system receives heading information from the
Raymarine EV-1.
3. When a
route is started on the Zeus3, the
autopilot will follow that
route, making off-track corrections!
4. When reaching a waypoint on the Zeus3, the
autopilot (in the P70 controller) asks if you want to turn to the next waypoint, it's just a matter of selecting Yes!
I am very satisfied with this solution of having both systems integrated.
