B&G Race Panel Startline Mystery

A few months ago I set a startline in the race panel but never sailed the race. Over the months I have cleared the port and starboard ends of this start line a few dozen times but every time I power up the Zeus 3 plotter the startline is shown on the chart. Does anyone know where the startline coordinates are stored and how to permanently delete them. I have looked thru waypoints, purged the waypoints, routes and tracks file....these actions have not made any difference. Emailed B&G, no reply. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Re: B&G Race Panel Startline Mystery

I know this is an old thread, but was there ever a resolution to the permanent removal of a start line? I too set one up and did not participate in the race but when I clear both ends of the start line, the next time I turn the chartplotter on, the start line magically re-appears.

Not to my knowledge.... one can uncheck the start line option in the chart settings to remove the “permanent “ start line from the chart, but the line remains in the race panel.

Re: B&G Race Panel Startline Mystery

Yeah, unfortunately I have already unchecked the start line box on the chart, as well as cleared the port and starboard endpoints on the race screen, but like clockwork the next time I turn the system on, everything comes right back.

I guess I’ll be contacting B&G to get to the bottom of this issue.

Thanks,

Re: B&G Race Panel Startline Mystery

Workaround? Set a new start line far away so it doesn’t bother you?
