Angry B&G Network Quad speed transducer

My B&G speed transducer impeller is broken. I have written to B&G twice via their website, but no response. I want to buy a new transducer. Please provide current email or phone number for ordering the transducer. They do not have the part shown on their website.

Try https://www.aandtinstruments.com. They handle B+G legacy repairs and parts.

They are actually in the UK, not Ireland, but more importantly they deal all over the world.

Re: B&G Network Quad speed transducer

Airmar makes almost all of the transducers for private label. They will cross reference also.

+1

We replaced our B&G unit a couple of years ago with one from Airmar. It connected just like the existing unit. No brainer.

Find their customer service number and call. They will respond to a call but I've found that emails are ignored for months.

Re: B&G Network Quad speed transducer

I have a new impeller for B and G transducer. I bought it as a spare and sold the boat. It cost me $55 and am willing to let it go for the same, I will even pay to ship with in the US.

Re: B&G Network Quad speed transducer

I also had problems finding a new low speed 6 bladed paddle wheel part #202-00-129 to fit the transducer #610-0A-026. Prices were crazy.
I found a 3D print file of a replacement paddle wheel on the internet.

https://www.yeggi.com/q/paddle+wheel/2/ Look for "Paddle Wheel for B&G Boat Speed Sensor"

Use a drill press to fit the 2mm ID bearing and some sandpaper to get a nice fit in the sensor cavity of the transducer. The holes for the magnets (on two opposing blades) are incorrectly aligned and don't work well (or not at all in my case). The magnets need to be positioned on the edge of the blade facing fore and aft (not radially outwards). A little work to create a notch in the blade with a needle file solves the problem. Glue in the neodymion magnets with crazy glue or epoxy. The magnets are available from AMAZON, or AliExpress.
