B&G depth not reading deeper than 75 feet

I installed a B&G Triton speed/depth/wind package back in 2012. The single sensor has a paddle wheel and depth sensor contained in a single unit. This has worked fine for several years, but recently I do not get any depth indication until I am in fairly shallow water, around 75 feet.

At first I thought it was growth on the sensor, but we finally are allowed to move anchorages, and when I got to clean water I went over the side and did a cleaning. There was some growth but cleaning did not solve the problem.

Aside from replacing the sensor, anyone have any ideas why this would happen or how to remedy it?
