B&G 4G radar dome

Has anyone replaced the drive belt/oring on their B&G 4G radar. Mine is broken and I plan to vulcanize the old one and or replace with a store bought o ring. If so can you replace o ring over the array, or do you have to take off the array to slip o ring over it?

I took off the array. Its easy. I don't think the o-ring will go over it.

Can you tell me how old your unit was before it needed a new belt etc? I need to decide if I shoul keep a spare onboard. I suppose it also depends how much it is used or whether it deteriorates with age.

I replaced with the same about 3 weeks ago, worked like a charm, ordered 4 to try and make sense of the shipping, hopefully I can donate one to somebody on our travels.

I got mine on over the array, was snug but it went with a light stretch.
