Autohelm ST50 Masthead Trasnducer Replacements
I have a mid-nineties Autohelm ST50 system. The masthead transducer is no longer functioning. The bearings are shot, and the wind vane is broken. I have read in several places that these can rebuilt with aftermarket parts. I did manage to find a "NEW" ST50 for sale in the UK for about $600 USD. The seller also has the requisite parts for a rebuild, or will rebuild it for me. However, my question: Will an ST60 masthead transducer screw right on to the existing 5 pin connection on the masthead and communicate correctly with the ST50 wind instrument? Any help would be appreciated!
