It sounds like you need a replacement wheel which includes the drive unit. I may have a spare. Price would be $200 plus shipping which is what I paid last year.

Where are you located? I am in NYC, USA.

If you have the MKII (Gray wheel, not black) you can get the part from raymarine. I beleive the part number is A18077.

Several years ago my Autohelm(raymarine) ST4000 failed. I returned it to the West Marine outlet in Oakland, California, where I had purchased it. I had no receipt and they exchanged it for a new unit - at no cost.

Yes, I still have the parts, Luigi. But shipping to Australia from New York will be expensive so I will need to double check to make sure they are good. Exactly which parts do you need?

Hi Speedoo,

well, I've bought a Mk2 (grey) replacement wheel and now I would like to rebuild my old MK1 (black) to have on board as a swap in replacement.
If you still have the complete wheel with reasonably good cogs and wheels and clutch and lever (motor?), I'll be interested in your price. Oh, the control unit as well, if you have it.
USPS Airmail is around US$65, not cheape but manageable.

regards,

Luigi M
