Old 6000 computer

This is for Mikem the original poster of this thread. Are you still looking for a computer? I found one on ebay out of Okland Ca, which I bid on and won ($100). However it turned out to be the exact one I already had and I refused it. (the seller would not answer my inquiries until four days after the close of the auction) He relisted it but I just checked and couldnot find it. However, if you still want one, (it is NOT seatalk compatable) I think I still have his number and will check on it for you. It might have sold tho. Let me know.

Just saw a 6000 wired remote unit on ebay (ebay Motors-Boats) which looks like it might work. have to check on the Seatalk issue tho.

Autohelm 6000 Control Box

Jay, thank you for your quick (and helpful) response....Just to be clear, the control box for the Autohelm 6000 I'm looking for is the unit that is installed in the cockpit with the six buttons (ie engage autopilot/standby/10 degree course change left or right/1 degree course change left or right) - I'd also be happy to buy a complete working system if someone has upgraded theirs and swapped it out for the parts. If we are thinkking about the same pieces, I would be most grateful for any directional steers you might offer. Best regards

Jay;

AH6000 is not compatible with ST6000 controller...not seatalk. It is from the previous generation.

The only thing that keeps me going trying to fix it, is that it does work for short periods after all the transistors are replaced. This coupled with the fact that there are no original parts available anymore for this unit is making it very difficult to repair.
Mikem

Do you know the name and number of the original transistors? If not do you know what the equivalents are and where i can get them. It looks as though i have the same problem.
