Autohelm 4000

My Autohelm 4000 slipped off its bracket. It had a clatter inside the box afterwards but otherwise seemed to work normally during my sail. I opened it up today and found a small weight, a 3/4 inch long screw that fit the weight and a small black collar about 3/8 inch long. I can't figure out where these go. Maybe into the circular gyro type wheel? any help will be appreciated.!!

There's a bit of advice buried in Gord May's response. He didn't know anything about that unit when he read your question, but the internet is wonderful for problems like this. He "scramble researched" the topic, and so can you. Every time I have a problem with a piece of equipment, I add an owner's manual PDF to a file folder on my computer. Virtually all the manufacturers post them, for free. Avoid the manual services that charge for them. I hope your autopilot is on the mend. Best wishes, --Tim.
