Autohelm 3000 Wind Vane resistance readings

I have an older Autohelm 3000 which has a rail mounted wind vane. The autopilot works fine in normal power mode. When activating the wind vane mode there's no apparent change in activity, although the LEDs indicate the pilot is in wind vane mode. I checked the resistance readings at the wind vane connector, assuming it's an inductive type device, but all readings read an open circuit. If anyone with a similar setup could send me their resistance readings it would be greatly appreciated.

My email me is: retyrd@cox.net

Thanks.

There is a Raymarine tech forum which is good for detailed testing info on older products. See http://raymarine.ning.com/.
