Autohelm 3000 wheel pilot - replacement of electric motor

The electric motor of my Autohelm 3000 is lacking torque. I'd like to replace it with a new one. The autopilot is the wheel pilot version (wheel driven by belt).

Anybody out there who knows which of todays motor would work here?

I've attached a photo of the old motor.

550 series motor. This is a $5 motor.

Also just use a windshield wiper motor from a car. Much more powerful and cheaper and more reliable. This tells you something about these people charging $500 for something that cost $20 to build. Check out also: https://forum.openmarine.net/forumdisplay.php?fid=18
