Autohelm 1000 analogue

Trying to disassemble a dead AH1000. (Old, but has worked until lately
- probabel fault is cable or internal cable connection).

It seems that the switch and the magnetic wheel needs to be removed first for a clean disassembly.

Anyone knows how?

the center of the switch knob lifts out (knife tip) revealing a circular nut. Spin it off with an awl tip then lift the switch knob. The wheel knob lifts off after removing the compass rose plate and the slot screw.

The 6 body screws can be spun out by using awl tips too. I subsequently cut a slot in each screw for future convenience...

Do you still have the unit? I'm looking for a functioning circuit board....
