Autohelm 100 course computer motor connector

I need to re-attach one of the wires to the drive motor to my old Autohelm 100 course computer. Rather than damage the equipment I thought I would ask someone how to work the connector to re-attach the cable who may have done this before.
Thanks Stephan

It is unclear to me what your problem is. Can you provide a photo?

Re: Autohelm 100 course computer motor connector

I have attached an image of the connector on the Autohelm Autopilot course computer that I cannot seem to work to release a wire or to reattach a wire

I have tried to push in on the stainless clip, also tried lift up or push down on it - but since I am sure it is attached to a circuit board with limited force so not to break it off completely

Re: Autohelm 100 course computer motor connector

You need a small, blunt tip probe to push down on the metal tab in the top opening. This will release the wire clamp in the bottom opening to add or remove the wire.

Send me a PM. I also have access to external H-relay circuits that act as the actuator power control, and converts the APU 100 internal relays to only low power control devices. This will prolong the lifetime and reliability of the APU100 by offloading high current control requurements.
