auto helm 6000

the autohelm 6000 on board our yacht has stopped working. This is an older unit pre seatalk, I believe it a Z051 init

After testing, I have found the following

The linear drive unit works when 12v from another source in connected
the clutch works fine
all the instruments including the heading work as normal.

There does not seem to be any power coming out of the course computer to the linear drive motor. I have tested this from the terminals that lead to the drive unit.

Any advice would be most helpful in trying to identify the problem.

Many thanks

Blake

Re: auto helm 6000

It's an ancient unit and should likely be replaced with a newer Raymarine course computer, which should plug and play with the 6000's control head and drive motor.
