Anyone Use Shakespeare Cruisenet ?

Shakespeare Marine Electronics and Data Systems - StyleCN-1200-A

The sales writeup seems great, uses a cell card and makes your whole boat a always on wifi hotspot, but sales writeups always looks good.

Is there anyone actually using this? Is it a complicated setup, and more importantly, does it work reliably?

So far I have been using my blackberry to tether to my laptop, works ok, but very expensive. Last summer, I was getting bills of over 700 a month.

Wow! What a cleverly writen avertisement. It implies that it connects one to the Internet while at sea. It does not do that. That is terrible.

Still no one using this product?

They have been supposedly selling since 2008, if no one buys them I am surprised they are still in business...
