The
battery for my Standard Horizon handheld
VHF is a "Lithium-Ion
Battery Pack FNB - 121LI". The one in my handheld "expanded" (puffed up) while in the
radio and was difficult to remove. I can't get one from Standard Horizon and the ads on the
internet are either bogus or out-of-stock.
P.S. Standard Horizon customer care was useless beyond belief. They said "We no longer make that. Try to find one on the
internet." The
radio is less than five years old. Do they expect me to throw the functioning radio in the garbage and start new? Do they really think I would buy one of theirs again? I understand that they can't stock all of their
parts forever. But even a conciliatory gesture like some kind of small discount coupon would be welcome. It's the principle.
