Any info on this anemometer

We have purchased a sailboat and it came with the instrument portion of the anemometer but not the meter portion and I can not seem to identify who makes it. Any help would be great if you have seen one like it. it uses a gray scale encoder vs. the magnet and windings. Again any help is appreciated thanks

Any idea how old it is? What brand are the other instruments on the boat? Perhaps same company? Age of it would help...is it the same as the boat? If so, perhaps dealer installed when new? I am not familiar with that type of anemometer, but the above info may help.

Looks just like a Nexus Classic model. Just removed one from my boat. This link will help determine if you can still use the unit with current Garmin systems. Nexus is now owned by Garmin.
