AIS Receiver

I was just snooping around and noticed that Nobletec Nobletec AIS has a $150 rebate for their $330 AIS receiver. Cost is finally getting into a reasonable range for these thingies.

Anyone have experience or thoughts on AIS? Here is an overview Sealink's AIS

Curtis, there is an extensive thread on AIS on the SSCA Discussion Board, including lots of hands-on reports using a variety of generic receivers & antennas plus an AIS 'engine'. Just FYI...
