Airmar Transducer to new Raymarine Chartplotter

After reading the reviews of Raymarine's new Axiom Chartplotter I bought one. Problem is - my existing Airmar transducer was connected to the old Garmin plotter with a 6 pin cable connection. I should've known this configuration was proprietary. This new Raymarine plotter has a 9 pin connection. I cannot find a 6 to 9 pin adapter. Is there a fix for this? Or do I have to replace the transducer to match the new plotter? I guess the other option is to exchange the Raymarine for the more expensive Garmin...

Unfortunately the Garmin 6 pin to Raymarine's 9 pin is not possible. So instead of hauling the boat, buying, and replacing the transducer I shelled out an additional $400 to exchange the Raymarine for the Garmin 742xs. I still had to buy an adapter for the new unit to read the older transducer. But I believe the problem is solved. I don't think I'll be disappointed with the plotter as Garmin is in the upper echelon of reputable brands and seems to stand behind their products according to reviews.
