Adding wireless remote to a old Autohelm 3000

Hi, As part. of our SeaNav autonomous boat project we have made an iPhone Bluetooth remote control app for a Simrad TP5000 autopilot which you can read about here https://pocketmariner.com/2021/11/04...c-boat-step-1/. The instructions and source code have all been open sourced.

There is also a similar project for doing this with an Autohelm 800

I know Im a bit late to this post.
But I'll try anyuway. I have a old Autohelm 2000 which has a similar looking control box as your 3000.

I'd love to get any details you like to share as I'd like to build a wireless remote for my boat.
