ACR Rebate

Greetings. I purchased an ACR EPIRB in May that promised a mail-in rebate. I filed the rebate request a few days later (along with all required documentation) and have yet to hear anything from ACR - despite two inquiries via their website. Has anyone else applied for a rebate in the last 6 months? Any luck? Best to all!

Re: ACR Rebate

We got one a year ago, IIRC the rebate check took a few months. Where did you buy it?

Re: ACR Rebate

Rebates are processed by the manufacturer, not the retailer. It has now been 4 months. Not even an acknowledgement of my rebate request...and no response to my inquiries. Pretty disappointing.

Re: ACR Rebate

Had a similar experience when I bought my Standard Horizon GX2200, by the time I received the rebate check it had already expired.

Re: ACR Rebate

Me too, only with an Icom AIS receiver. I reckon that the vendors see this as a great way to suck in customers and just not pay up in a usable manner. Probably one can fight this and eventually win, but I doubt if many have the patience to do so.

I don't think I will fall for this trick again.
