Our catamaran is called Loon. Some say it's named after the bird. Others say it's named after me.....

I remember a piece of Canadian paper money that had the common Loon on one side and I forget what was on the other side?

The one I have is paper and when you hold it up to look at the water mark(might just be an image) you wonder which one the nice and humble canadians are refering to because the name is on one side and the bird is on the other ,when held to the light the queen is on the side with the title "common loon" under her picture, now that is loonie..

Quite right. And I find that even people I usually find disagreeable can still sometimes pass on useful information.

That is how I felt for the years I have been here.
Until recently.
I have only one person on the list and things are better for me now.
I look at that line saying the person is blocked and think maybe I should give the benefit of the doubt................Naaa...........ain't worth the pain.
Though sometimes they are quoted and like a train wreck, I look at it.

Time heals all wounds, but this one is really taking its time. I cannot put no weight on my left foot, I cannot drive, stairs are impossible and I am pretty much housebound on crutches. I am off the antibiotics as of yesterday. The have a doctor's appointment on Aug 7 to assess progress.
I may get out at the end of August for a competent crew day skipper power boat course in Vancouver. That should be easier that a heeling sailboat.
Until then, lots of reading, reading/writing forum stuff. I should be working a new offshore weather module for ISPA. My office is downstairs, so I am using my WiFi network.

I picked up a pseudomonas bacteria in a small abrasion on my May trip around Vancouver Island. It progressed to the point that I had an bone infection in a joint in my small toe left foot. The joint was removed a month ago and I am waiting around for the wound to heal.
I am bored silly.

Re: Your Ignore List
Don't quite understand the need for ignore lists and I might be on many but that is life. If you don't want to read a post or for that matter an entire thread, don't read it.
