I think sb has a history of offending people from long standing. I guess he has turned his arrogance on to me now.
As his comments continue unabated and un moderated, I believe it is OK to refute the personal attacks with a gentle and mild reproof..... The trouble is is that he lacks the power of conversation and comprehension but not the power of typing. He is proof that is not necesssary to understand things in order to argue about them. Its a losing battle.
I'll always cherish the original misconception I had of him..

Re: Your Ignore List
I get the feeling someone who is on the ignore list is taking pokes at me, if so they are being wasted.
good example of the need for the the ignore list

Re: Your Ignore List
There was only one poster, I considered putting on my ignore list, and they chucked him out of the forum before I could. I also came to realize it was entertaining to see the stuff he stirred up.

You have to understand that Don is from the northeast US and like some there is somewhat opinionated. Just a tiny bit, a smidgin, hardly noticeable at all, in his likeable fashion. Best to let sleeping dogs lay...
It's also pretty obvious that some around here have more then one log in name. Which sort of defeats the whole ignore list thingy now doesn't it.

Re: Your Ignore List
My long arm reaches out in a tired, waking up kind of way, to say that having more than one log in name is against the rules and when we catch you, one of them gets zapped. The other one just gets a mini zap.
The bickering is getting a bit tedious by the way.
Coops.

Well a sunny good morning to you. Its raining here.
A quick check through the history of CF shows that I am but the latest in a long line of individuals that have incurred the quixotic behavior of sailorboy1.
I considered all options including, ignoring him, mod correction, factual rebuttals etc etc.
In the end, I see his behavioural tactics have been largely tolerated by the moderators, so I went the ignore route. When that failed, I decided to rebutt each and every comment. I see this too is failing.
The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place and Im afraid I have exhausted all avenues as stated above, It was past the time for action, and all that was left was senseless bickering
I think this is a case of he has delighted me long enough....
So in deference to the situation, your difficult position,, my irritation and respect for the status quo, I will draw upon my fine command of the English language, and say nothing.
Cheers Coop. Have a nice day. Issue solved.

I am ashamed to admit how naive I am. I had not noticed this. Nor can I now figure out who's whom. What else would you expect from a crustacean?

Having a Woodie is a term I would be cautious of using particularly if you were putting sailorchick and Don in the same room.

Yes, Boatman61 started out as Boatman1, then Boatman2, etc. The mods keep shutting him up, but his trickiness outwits them every time…
