Secondly guys and gals.... with all the unemployed I think extra diligence might be required for those who are seriously challenged financially during Covid debacle.
being financially challenged is no excuse to steal other peoples items .

Re: Would a "stolen" forum be useful?

A quick update. They posted a photo of the dingy on Craig's list here in Portland. The boat in the photo was like mine but the real giveaway was the painter. I tie my painter is a certain way. Nothing special, just my way.

They moved before the police could get there and then resurfaced this morning.

They tried to escape in their small sailboat (San Juan 21?) and were boarded by the Multnomah Sheriffs River Patrol.

Got my inflatable back minus the oars. More or less a Happy Ending.

My Daughter got it first. But I was looking too.

The fun part is that I sent the photo to some local marine operations folks.

I got a text this morning that my dinghy was anchored out under their office window.

Police, river patrol and a bit of cat and mouse.

Story in today’s WSJ that roughly half of those receiving the federally enhanced unemployment benefits are getting more pay then they got when they were working.

Hard to endorse Robbin’ Hoodism at any time.

There are problems with gig workers getting unemployment due to processing problems - but these workers are in the grey economy and don’t pay into the unemployment insurance fund in the first place.

Just thought I'd post a photo of the folks who stole my dinghy getting boarded by the Sheriffs River Patrol.
