Re: What to do with a big floating shoe?

I wonder if the railing on the stairway extends down far enough for safety in a rolling sea? Are there other safety issues that need money to be spent in priority over interior modifications?

I think the interior, from what I can tell in the pictures, is actually very nice right now. Save your effort and money for something mechanical or electrical that needs replacement or fixing.

Whose idea was it, to make changes to the interior? You gave up the dream of a big sailboat, so the wife might agree with you spending a little money on something else other than interior design, unless that's really your wish.

TooCoys, I really like your interior, feels light inside. Personally I get depressed inside Hans Christians and older Grand Banks. If you feel the need to refresh, then I would suggest replacing the bamboo flooring, which was a big fad for awhile but feels cold and cheap, for something warmer. And perhaps recover your cushions with a warmer color, but not too dark.

Nice American condo look. Personally I would go with some seriously funky cushions and rugs and a picky or paintings on the walls somewhere. Cheap change, easy to alter any time and doesnt affect anything structurally

We joined Seabrook Sailing Club. Nothing bigger than 18' over there. Mostly Sunfish, Lasers & small cats. Couple of small Capris. It's cheap and it's chill, so it suits us. Seems a lot of the lessons and charters are out of Waterford. We haven't made our way over there yet.
