What is this Sailboat? MFG?

Can you help me identify this Make and model?

So there is a sailboat that I am Interested in.

I don't know what it is. ...except derelict.

It is a European built boat I am SURE.

VERY ruggedly built in poor condition.

Approximately 11 meters in length.

Definitely built for offshore sailing.
There is no toe rail, deck hull joint is rounded to shed water fast.

The mainsheet traveler is in the cockpit like an International Folkboat.

Looks VERY Scandinavian to me.

The cleats are marinium, an alloy common in the 1970s with teak rods like a Folkboat.

Could this be a Marieholm?

Canoe transom, full keel with tiller steering.

Chainplates are a solid SS Strap.

Very safe cockpit, low and deep.

Small solid bronze portlights.

Galley is to port after companion steps.

Nav station to starboard with a quarter berth behind under lazzaret.

Berth both sides and center table.

Keel stepped mast.

Forward storage on port and head on STBD.

Then V Berth forward.

Everything is heavy duty built of quality materials.

If you have an idea about what this boat is please let me know.

Yes , I know it's condition and BLA BLA BLA.

I DON'T need opinions about conditions.

I repair, restore and rebuild boats professionally.

I just need to figure out what this boat is.

There are no numbers on the transom or placards inside that give information so.....

Let me know if you have an idea what this boat is.

Gracias mi Amigos.

Interesting boat.

No hull identification number somewhere on the transom?

Good luck with your quest.

Btw. there is a big Crowther cat in similar condition over here in Portugal. Still, an owner seems to be known in this case.

Looks like a custom built boat. Is it fiberglass? Any idea what the keel looks like? Is there a skeg in front of that rudder?

Nope, Nada I will look closer this week but I could not find ANY Numbers.

Usually they are one the STBD side however since it is a canoe stern maybe another location.
I'm sure it's early 1970's and Northern European. It's built UBER stout.

You could try contacting the guy who runs this site, he seems well versed in European boats:
https://www.sailboat-cruising.com/
I don't see any Marieholms that match it.

Is that a tabernacle on the mast?

I'm gonna dive on it this week and investigate what the hull looks like after clearing 6 feet of growth off.

Very interesting boat that looks like it was intended to really go places.

Re: What is this Sailboat? MFG?

Yes fiberglass and very heavy built. Decks are solid. Interior is a disaster. It's basically just a hull and mast project. I have the skills, the tools and the time. Looking for my last boat. Don't mind full rebuilds but I'm looking to start with a good foundation and I like what see here after looking past the trash part to the true bones. No es una problema.

I think it did go places, wind vanes are there for a reason. Owner was killed by Cocaine smugglers years ago and it fell into a friend of his hands..she knows nothing so it will sink soon if nothing is done.

Do you have pictures of your last boat before&after? I like people taking on and completing challenges against the odds.

Re: What is this Sailboat? MFG?

Yes, 6587 photos of my last boat projects that I've done for myself and customers from 1930's Wood boats to 2018 Turkish built high end fiberglass cruisers held together with drywall screws and falling apart and everything in between. Dinghies, canoes, kayaks , my fav life boat dinghy with 5 different watertight compartments, my Folkboat, my '69 Olympic Racer, my '69 Seafarer 36c home..BLA BLA .
You will need to be more specific upon your request.

Well here I am being more specific [emoji6]
Pictures of the Turkish built fiberglass cruiser and the Lifeboat before and after please.

I think it's great if less stuff is thrown away and someone has an eye for salvageable derelicts.

If you like you can PM them to me. Really, I'm just curious and not meaning to criticize. Boats are my life too..

pirate Re: What is this Sailboat? MFG?

Saw a very similar boat advertised on Scanboats last autumn, same lines and rounded hull/deck with no toe rail built in early 70's.. she was lying in Denmark.
Unfortunately I cannot recall the marque and just had a quick search but she's either been sold or the ad expired.
Nice roomy interior as I recall, more open plan than cluttered.

Re: What is this Sailboat? MFG?

Ok, thank you. I'm going to try to gather a list of Scandinavian builders from the 1970's. Many things about this boat look Scan...ish.to me also.
