Re: What is this Sailboat? MFG?

Unusual place for the engine.

Why would one end up there?

That's a lot of work for only 32 feet.

Re: What is this Sailboat? MFG?

I have a 1987 UK built boat with no Hull ID number. I have the original registration papers with no such number listed.

I have been TOLD that the UK only required such numbers sometime after 1987.

Maybe some older Brit could chime in here.

But also, you should have some ID info on the Registration, no?

Re: What is this Sailboat? MFG?

scroll down a bit on the above provided link and you'll see a photo of the boat with those funky chainplates, which I thought looked homemade....my bad..
looks like the real deal after all...

I'll go sit in the corner now...

Re: What is this Sailboat? MFG?

Hi Nautidogwoof,
Your boat is not unlike boats designed by Arvid Laurin (1901 - 1998) He was a swedish olympier, designer and expert on competition rules.
Perhaps you can contact "Laurinsällskapet", L 38 - Laurinkostersällskapet.

Re: What is this Sailboat? MFG?

Laurin Koster, Koster being design of boat. Swedish origin, sought after ocean going yachts. I have one in New Zealand and love it. Tough boat. Cheers
