Re: What are your Voyaging Hopes, Plans, Dreams or Vague Intentions for some day!
Would like to fix some more stuff and go see if it stays fixed. How long that takes is how far I get. I will go north though unlike most here. I still dream of Christmas at chatter box falls.

Next spring /summer I will gunk hole the coast of Maine( as I have for 25 years) and as fall approaches I will head South, bound for Culebra and all the places in between. My boat is ready and all I need to do is drop my mooring line and head out. I have no schedule or hard plans other than to keep the butter soft. I wish I had done this 20 years ago.

LOL...still in 'wannabe' land, but have moved on to PLAN E:
Convert house into two flats. Rent one live in the other. Use rental income as 'boat bucks' to complete construction of recently acquired 24' trimaran.
Currently on a belt-tight budget reminiscent of Halle berry's waistline to complete the house conversion.
Intersting to note how one's plans change over time. Seriously, the 14' tri plan was never more than a pipe dream, although I did work it up as far as scaled concept drawings, but I now have a Paper Tiger catamaran for sale, so some boat bucks may be coming back to me as 'house bucks'.
Watch this space.....

All over PNW this year. Around Vancouver Island early next summer. California, Sea of Cortez, Pacific islands soon after.

Hey I think this was a great answer!

Yeah I can't recover them either and I went through all the layers. Looks like as Google earth got updated those things faded away. Perhaps just look at your pins here and pull out a globe and they will jog your memory!

Re: What are your Voyaging Hopes, Plans, Dreams or Vague Intentions for some day!
Wifey B: As long as we're doing it together, it will always be perfect.
Right now we cruise about 220 days a year. We boat from home and short trips another 50 days. It's perfect for now and when it's not perfect for us, we'll change it. We have a philosophy "as long as it works for both of us." Life also includes our extended family on shore and time with them and our visits to the orphanage in NC, no priority above that. To always be there for all those so special in our lives.
We want to see the world by water. See some of it many times. We started a little less than 5 years ago and have done so much and yet so little compared to all there is. So far, we've covered about 80,000 nm on the water in our quest.
We've seen the following at least once so far. The west coast from Alaska to the Panama Canal. From the Canal to Boston. The Bahamas, the western Caribbean, the eastern Caribbean down to St. Lucia. Now the loop all the way around to the TN River, and saw it.
On our near term, the new places are Boston up and around and down the St. Lawrence to Montreal. Then there's Europe. I can easily see four seasons or more there. From the Med to the North Sea to the Norwegian Sea. Crossing the Atlantic is on the list.
Then sometime crossing the Pacific. Asia. The South Pacific. Then some day perhaps South America. Then everything we've seen again and then again.
We know the time will come we have to slow down and it may come we'll have to stop, but until then we'll just enjoy life.
And the most important goal, to never stop dreaming. Always have unfulfilled wants and plans and hopes. When the time comes life is over, not to die with it complete, but die with dreams still on our minds and love still in our hearts. One should never complete their lists, not even their bucket lists. The fun in life is enjoying today but also looking forward to tomorrow. I'm lucky that I get to do that with the man I love and who loves me and we're freaking awesome together.

Re: What are your Voyaging Hopes, Plans, Dreams or Vague Intentions for some day!
Hi everyone,
In November this year I'll be off to sail around the world in my Sadler 26 from Cape Town via Panama... This has been my dream for years and I'm finally doing it!
I'll be posting videos of my preparations and journey to my youtube channel:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKR...fS9tL3HL_HbNnQ
You will also find some of my older videos of sailing in South African waters there.
