Weird Question- Swinger Propositions
So we're having drinks in the cockpit the other evening on a boat down the dock with another couple, in their early 50's, quite normal, average good looking people and they turned the conversation towards us all going down below and getting naked together. I just gotta know, has this happened to you too? I don't think we were throwing off any special vibes or anything. Huh?

Sounds like real cruising.
The more important questions are:
How big was the boat?
What kind of engine?
What size was the anchor?
What size is the dinghy?
Water maker aboard?
Coated or uncoated lifeline?
What was the bottom cost?
How tall is the mast?
And most important question: is it a Blue Water boat?

Funny as hell and I do know a couple who like to do that and live aboard, I have been in a situation where dinner turned into that kind of suggestion, but still, EWWWWW. Personal opinion of course. Life is full of surprises! Don't worry be Happy!

Re: Weird Question- Swinger Propositions
My question would be, if you both said you weren't interested, did they take it in stride, not get weird about it, and turn back to normal conversation. I've not had it happen on the boat, but I've had random conversations like that come up, but thankfully enough of a friend to not take offense or make it uncomfortable if I say no thank you. You don't have to be putting off a vibe, sometimes people just take a stab and hope you're curious enough to experiment yourself.

Re: Weird Question- Swinger Propositions
Reminded me of an old joke.
A guy is visiting his married buddy. As they shoot the breeze his buddy whips out a bottle of nice tequila which they finish soon. As they're still in the mood for some more drinks the visitor asks if there is any more left. "Sure", the host replies, "go into our bedroom and there should be another bottle on the night table. Just don't disturb my wife". So the guest tip toes into the bedroom but as he finds and picks up that bottle he notices that the wife is not alone but there is someone there with her and they both are going at it. Flabbergasted he returns to the living room and exclaims to his friend: "There is some dude in there banging your wife!". The friend looks at him and says: "Whose tequila do you think we're drinking?"
