Re: We Have Suffered Enough.

So when should I schedule my trip from Sunny California back to upstate NY to liberate the boat from Winterhaven and start my summer cruise?? Would June 1 be late enough or shall I wait another couple weeks??

Off the back deck this a.m. 25 F. degrees. A regular heat wave! Maybe the snow is gone sometime in the next week and a half or so, that would be nice. Spearfishing opens up May 1st, may still need a chain saw to get to the fish

Re: We Have Suffered Enough.

Well I moved my boat over to its' mooring Sunday. Creepy out at the mooring as the harbor probably holds 500 boats and there are only 3 out there. Cold but tomorrow suppose to be in the 70s!

You have to be ready!

Re: We Have Suffered Enough.

This past week I have had to lay on the cabin sole to lessen my sweatting.
Underwear, tank top, still sweatting.
Yesterday I had to wait for the wife at the dinghy docks in the sun, I had to drive in circles to cool myself off.

Re: We Have Suffered Enough.

Well, 4 inches of snow in the UP of Michigan this morning. The 4 to 5 feet in the woods is the most snow I have seen this late in the year in 33 winters. Winter sure has a grip on us. Got those wintertime blues..."The suicide prevention group has all run away."

fishing is getting better. We crested at 22 feet. there is a sidewalk below this window and a long drop to where the river belongs.

Cool picture. Strong, watertight porthole. Impressive.

Good luck cleaning up, hope it does not cut into your sailing season too much.

Next room over is a restaurant with similar but panoramic views. The building was designed to tolerate the water pressure and has aquarium glass windows. Definitely cool.

Re: We Have Suffered Enough

Yesterday and today are showing indications of spring. Our local ski hill is just now showing a couple small bare spots. Maybe it's time to start thinking about boating up here.

Re: We Have Suffered Enough

Went for the year's first sail yesterday!!!!

Lonely looking out though the mooring field that holds around 500 boats, but has only 6. Sure makes it easier to drive around.

We got the same yesterday. But the ice in our marina is starting to break up. Splash day is coming, albeit a month late...
