Tunisia Winter Base

Can anyone who has knowledge of Monastir and Hammamit marinas in Tunisia give me their opinion (for and against) on each location. We will be overwintering as liveaboards through most of winter.and would appreciate any feedback.

I arrived in Hammamet at the beginning of October 2021. I spent about a month there then headed to the US for a contract. I returned in April 2022. I would have a hard time spending the winter there. The Marina staff is great and there is a community of Europeans, but the town can be pretty miserable if you are active and looking for things to do. Hammamet was once a busy tourist town but it has suffered from failures and many of the big resorts are just ghosts of their former self. The town really needs a scrub and a coat of paint. It is less expensive than the EU and it can be comfortable, but you may get bored.
